TEHRAN- The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps would give a crushing response to any aggression against the Islamic Republic, IRGC commander said on Wednesday.

At a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Imam Sadegh military base in Qom, Brigadier General Mohammad-Ali Jafari said, “The enemy must know that they can in no way affect the Islamic Republic of Iran and that the IRGC will give a crushing response to any aggression.”
""The enemy knows that if it attacks Iran it will be trapped in a quagmire deeper than Iraq and Afghanistan, and they will have to withdraw in defeat,"" he said.
“Today the enemy thinks it can stand against the spiritual emergence of Iran and Islam through threats and economic sanctions,” he explained.
“Today the IRGC and Basij, aside from being equipped with the most modern weapons, are outfitted with religion and Islam,” he stated.
Regarding the psychological warfare waged by the U.S., he noted, “This kind of warfare has existed for many years and continues to exist. The enemy should know that Iranians are not captive to such plots and will defend Islamic Iran firmly.
